Well, the listserv has served me well. I've received a half-dozen
responses to my panel request already and I have the makings of a strong
panel (and enough ideas for a second, if the submitters wish to pursue
it). Thanks for the quick response. You guys are the best.

Fellow Burkelers--

I'm trying to gather together a panel for NCA, though I'm on sabbatical
and I've been out of touch. I have three options for anyone who interested
in discussing panel ideas:

(1) I'm writing a book on the supreme court, and I use Burke to analyze a
19th century case. Anyone interested in a (a) public address panel or (b)
a legal panel?
(2) I'm finishing a book on Bush and his motives as a leader. I have lots
to draw on for a panel on Bush or on presidential motives.
(3) I was lucky enough to be in Washington, D.C. for the inaugural. It was
a moving experience. I have a lot of interesting examples of
identification to discuss.

If you have an interest, please contact me asap and we'll see if we can
get 3-4 folks to commit to a panel.
