Subject: SEFCIG 2014 and FloCyte Training in Tampa, Florida!

Greetings!
There was snow and ice in the Deep South last week. But not in Tampa, Florida! If you need a break from the cold this winter, we have at least two great reasons for you to come to Tampa in March!

The Moffitt Cancer Center is hosting this year’s Southeast Flow Cytometry Interest Group meeting, SEFCIG 2014 on March 6-7, 2014. Registration, information and a preliminary program can be found at the SEFCIG site: http://sefcig.org/ We have a great lineup of speakers and events planned. This year for the first time, SEFCIG will include a poster session with peer-review and presentation of awards for the best poster in different categories. Individuals that submit a poster abstract will have the $30 registration fee waived. Poster submission deadline will be February 10, 2014 at 5pm.

In addition Moffitt and SEFCIG have invited FloCyte Associates to present a flow cytometry training course before the meeting. A one-day course entitled Cell Life and Death: Multi-parameter DNA / Cell Cycle Analysis has been scheduled for March 5, 2014. The course will be taught by Frank Traganos, Ph.D. (http://www.flocyte.com/dr-frank-traganos/ ), along with Mark Munson of Verity Software House and Jolene Bradford of Life Technologies. This course will cover the basics of cell cycle analysis along with the aspects of analysis of multi-parameter cell cycle and cycle specific proteins. A full description of the course can be found here: http://www.flocyte.com/dna-courses/

Registration for the FloCyte course is $300. A 10% discount is available for those attending the SEFCIG meeting, for previous FloCyte course graduates, and for groups of 5-9. If you gather a group of 10 or more on one invoice you receive 20% off! Register and find more information at www.FloCyte.org<http://www.flocyte.org/> or email flocyte at flocyte.org<mailto:flocyte at flocyte.org>.

Hope to see you at both of these excellent networking and learning opportunities here at Moffitt Cancer Center!

Best Regards,
Jodi
