Dear Cytometrists,

There's still time to register for the two-day ExCyte flow cytometry
course on Tuesday, April 16th and Wednesday, April 17th, 2013, held in
collaboration with the University of California, San Francisco.

*NOTE: All late fees will be waived if "Purdue" is mentioned in the
registration email!!!*

_April 16th (Tuesday): "Hello Cytometry_"

This one-day course will cover the initial basics of flow cytometry to
provide critical concepts for the novice user. This course focuses on
the core concepts of flow cytometry -- the "fundamentals" that every
scientists using flow cytometry should know. This course is targeted to
users with basic flow cytometry experience looking to learn the primary
concepts of flow cytometry. Learning the fundamentals will ensure that
your flow cytometry experiments will yield results.

_April 17th (Wednesday): "The Art of Sorting" (Limited to 12 attendees)_

This one-day hands-on course will start with lectures covering the
theory, practice, and troubleshooting of cell sorting experiments.
Students will then break into smaller groups for hands-on time with a
cell sorter, putting the theory into practice. This course is targeted
to users with a knowledge of the principles and practices of flow
cytometry, including compensation, proper controls, experimental design,
and gating. After this course, users will be equipped with the basic
tools necessary to embark on the path to independent sorter operation.
