Hi every one
I would like to know if somebody perform crosshatching platelets by flow cytometry as screening test. Is it costs effective?
Patients who are refractoriness to platelets transfusions usually receive crossmacth-compatible platelets. A solid phase test (capture p) is used to identify compatible platelets. However, crossmatching platelets by flow cytometry is more sensitive and much less subjective than the mentioned test.
Thanks for your assistance.
