[Cytometry] Flow Cytometry position at CNIO in Madrid

Dear all,

       We are looking to incorporate an enthusiastic flow cytometrist to
join our team to develop further his/her career at the Spanish National
Cancer Research Center (CNIO). The CNIO is an international recognised
center of research excellence and its state-of-the-art installations are
based in Madrid (Spain) so despite to have the opportunity to work with a
bunch of international scientist, you will enjoy the exciting cultural life
of Madrid and its weather.

Our unit is currently equipped with two sorters: a FACS Aria IIu and a
InFlux and four analytical cytometers including: a FACS Canto II, a FACS
Calibur, a FACS Array and a LSRII Fortessa.

Applicants should have a BSc or MSc in a relevant biomedical field and good
knowledge of the common flow cytometric applications. Previous sorting and
TC culture experience are more than desirable. The candidate must have
strong organizational skills, be good at troubleshooting and able to work as
part of a team and independently with minimum supervision taking attention
to detail. IT skills are required and knowledge of the common flow cytometry
analysis package will be an advantage (FlowJo, FACS Diva, ModFit, CellQuest
Pro).

Primary duties for this position will include:

* Daily calibration, QC and operation of the cell sorters from the unit.

* Daily calibration, data back up and QC of the analytical instruments from
the unit.

* Provide users training on the analytical cytometers.

* Assist investigators with experimental design, data display and data
analysis using third part softwares.

* Pro-actively develop new flow cytometric techniques and protocols
appropriate to the users needs.

* Participate in the generation of flow cytometry training material and
courses.
