MDS Pharma Services http://www.mdsps.com/, Global Central Labs, Baillet,
France (just outside of Paris) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled
Flow Cytometry/Immunoassay Specialist (Requisition # 62188) in support
of specimen testing for clinical trials.  Our facility in Baillet
provides comprehensive, standardized and esoteric central laboratory
services in support of global clinical trials.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Supervision of, as well as hands-on, instrument calibration and
maintenance, specimen processing and acquisition, data analysis and
review. A leadership role in troubleshooting.  Review of instrument
maintenance logs and assay QC performance.  Adherence to applicable
regulatory guidelines (GCLP/CLIA/CAP) and established laboratory safety
procedures.
 
QUALIFICATIONS: 
Possession of a degree from an accredited college/university in a field
related to biomedical research. A minimum of 3-5 years hands-on flow
cytometry and immunoassay experience.
 
A strong understanding of polychromatic flow cytometry and
multiparametric data analysis.  Candidate must be proficient in:
instrument setup, instrument maintenance, sample preparation and
staining (including PBMC preparation and cryopreservation, aseptic
technique), and flow cytometry principles, such as fluorescence
compensation setup and verification, specimen acquisition, advanced data
analysis and review.  Extensive knowledge of flow cytometry software
(creation of acquisition and analysis protocols).  
 
Strong understanding of immunochemistry and hands-on experience in
automated plate-based immunoassays.  Strong understanding of data
analysis and assay acceptance (curve fitting, calibrator and QC review).

 
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: 
Strong communication, organizational and computer skills.  Proficiency
in French and English.  Experience in supervision is an asset.  A
background in molecular biology and laboratory automation, is also a
valuable advantage.
 
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs (PowerPoint,
Excel and Word). Knowledge of regulatory compliance and established
laboratory safety procedures
