do you mean 1N vs 2N genomes per cell (and <1 and >2) ?
If so, this is a standard cell cycle analysis and cells fixed, permeablized and then treated with PI is the "gold standard" and I am sure you can easily find protocols. There are a number of alternative fluors as well, including for live cell analysis.

I have a student who is looking to quantify entire genomic DNA by flow cytometry. Has anyone worked on this in the past ?
