FLOW CYTOMETRY FACILITY MANAGER

 

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Flow Cytometry operator to manage, service and develop the Flow Cytometry facility on the South Kensington Campus of Imperial College London. The facility currently comprises one FACS DiVa cell sorter and 2 FACS Calibur analysers within the Centre for Molecular Microbiology and Infection (CMMI, http://www.imperial.ac.uk/cmmi <file:///D:/desktop/CMMI%20Sept05/www.imperial.ac.uk/cmmi> ).

This is a multi-user facility used by research scientists in the fields of cell and molecular biology, immunology and infectious diseases. The successful candidate will be supporting the laboratory work of these scientists, providing training courses, maintaining the instruments and the flow cytometry budget and business plan.

 

The position is for 3 years in the first instance with salary in the range £27,980 - £37,740 (Professional Services Job Family Level 3b) dependent on experience.
