Focus, Jim . . . I must reiterate that the term doesn't make sense!
Fluorescence doesn't activate anything, except perhaps the operator's
interest, upon which the operator then "activates" the sort plates, sort
logic, etc., etc.. . . . I guess, then, indirectly, fluorescence
"activates" sorting.
