Thank you very much for the information regarding the A.O. You make a good 
point about the cytometer differentiating between the red vacuoles in cells 
and red, non viable yeast cells. We are actually using the alternate 
technique which you mentioned and it is working quite well. The acridine 
orange would have been a simpler "one step" solution to evaluate 
phagocytosis and killing. But  I guess I'll stick to what works, for now.
